  • I was recently hospitalized with a condition known as AFIB or (atrial fibrillation); before I was hospitalized my bpm was extremely high like 185 or so while sitting in my bedroom and I was light headed and felt miserable. 24hrs and $17,000 later, my heart was converted back to a normal sinus rhythm and I was sent home. I found that after going through an experience like this, it comforts you to know what your heart rate is throughout the day; So my girl friend thought that it would be a good idea for me to easily keep track of my heart rate and I got this as an early Christmas present. From what the doctors have told me, something like 1 in 4 Americans will suffer from atrial fibrillation between teenage years to the age of 70 and they also say that 1 in 3 Americans that have a stroke, that it was caused by the AFIB. So I guess what I’m trying to say is get to know your heart, check it regularly and if you wish to do so with ease, whether you’re exercising, eating dinner, etc.. this is a product that you need.

  • Not a bad watch, looks good. Has digital and analog time that can be sync’d easily. The reading can be a little hard to see in direct sunlight but that is typical of digital readouts even in your car. I paid $50 for mine at the local Academy Sports & Outdoors… Not bad for $50 if it has the features you want… Later down the road I may upgrade mine to one that gives me an average beat per min on a daily basis or something…. I love being able to check my heart rate whenever… fun… I just use mine for everyday checking… whenever I want to know what my heart rate is. I would think if you’re hard core into exercising then you would probably want more features (and spend a lot more)

  • Works pretty good. Takes a while to give a reading. Can’t see the reading outside in the sunlight at all.
