I have a Polar S725x HRM that i use on my bike all the time, one thing i find annoying is that the speed is in KPH instead of MPH, can this be changed, and if so, how??

I just bought my HRM after Christmas and have really enjoyed it. However, I have often wondered about the accuracy of the calories burned. I can’t really find any information on the web about it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just wondered why a persons pulse does not register very well (if at all) on an HRM. I’ve tried several: chest, wrist, and the HRM’s on treadmills and bikes. None of them seem to register anything except for the chest-type monitors; and even they sometimes do not register or are way off. Is it possible the pulse is just too weak?
